Belfast half marathon
George Munroe Mon 15 Sep 2014
Just as he did last year, Michael had enrolled again for the Belfast Half Marathon on Sunday 14 September, exactly 7 days after the Great North Run.
After an hour's delay in the start due to a traffic accident on part of the course, the field were on their way along a new route through the city, starting and finishing at the spacious show grounds at the King's Hall complex.
Conditions were very good for running, just a bit of sun starting to dominate on the later stages.
Michael came storming home across the finishing line in his Action for Children running vest in a remarkable time (all things considered) of around 1:51.
An extra push for the class of 76 running efforts this year! Well done Michael.
