Ballyliffen 10 mile coastal challenge

George Munroe   Tue 31 Mar 2015

So, hot on the heels of getting our 2015 fundraising web site up and going, Michael and I are seeking sponsors for our first event of the year: the Ballyliffen 10 mile coastal challenge, taking place this Saturday, 4 April on Donegal's lovely Inishowen, not far off the most northerly point of the island and probably the most windswept too!

If you would like to help us get off to a flying start then we'd love to see you along the way. But if it's a bit far for an afternoon drive you could always give a little on the fund raising page at:

justgiving.com/classof76

More on the Ballyliffen event at:

Many thanks!

2015 fund raising

George Munroe   Tue 31 Mar 2015

It took a little longer than usual to get this year's fund raising page organised but we're now up and running:

justgiving.com/classof76

We'll use this all year as we participate in a number of running and other events—any of which the whole class is invited to.

In 2015 we are raising funds for Belfast Activity Centre (BAC), based in Barnett's Park on the outskirts of South Belfast. This is a very special effort in memory of, and in celebration of, the life of Gordon Bell—son of fellow class team member Adrian and wife Charan, and brother of Julie. BAC is the organisation that organised adventures for Gordon, not allowing disability with Cerebral Palsy to prevent him from full participation in adventures that delighted him during his brief 25 years before succumbing to severe complications in his condition last October.

Please give generously, and point others to the fund raising page above, so that others can continue to benefit as Gordon did. The JustGiving donation process is secure and easy—you can use Paypal or a credit/debit card, and if you're still working then you can allow gift aid to go straight to BAC.

Many thanks all.
