Dear everyone,

Last year, I took the massive step of parting with £50.00 to become a life member of the Old Scholars Association.

When my "Past and Present" arrived in the post (free to all members of the Old Scholar Association) I knew it was money well spent. Little has changed in its format, the "News Briefs" section is still there with snippets about past pupils and staff alike. Births, Deaths and Marriages, which unfortunately this year included the untimely death of our own Richard Burton.

The Old Scholars Association hold various nights through out the year, including BBC Gardeners Question Time, Presidents Evening and a Golf outing at Lisburn Golf Club.

I have attached an Application Form for those may wish to add their support.

Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes to Jenny Boyd MBE!

We had a great party and as you can see by the photos, Jenny was surprised!

Probably like a lot of people, I hate my photograph being taken but as we were not snap happy on the evening, the only one we had of Jenny wearing her medal included Susan and myself.

It was just great that Jenny and husband Danny, Jane and husband Martin and Maggie Thompson were able to join us for the celebrations.

Julie Smyth and Timothy Smith met Jenny in London for lunch during her trip to the Palace!

She had a fantastic time.

I will see if she will let me scan in her official photo and send it to you all!
