Lisburn Half Marathon and 10K 2015
George Munroe Fri 19 Jun 2015
It was the perfect evening for a run… light breeze, dry and not too sunny. And the half marathon course had changed from the hilly route around Ravernet to a much smoother ride out towards Moira and back by Culcavy.
George and Michael set off with caution on the half marathon, gradually winding up and finishing with respectable times of around 1:52 and 1:46 respectively.
Adrian and Christine took on the established 10K course and both finished in less than 1:25.
All tired but very satisfied at the end of the evening on a run that is always that little bit extra a challenge owing to the evening start after a day's work.
Our fund raising for this year is now almost totalling the target of £2000 (just £60 or so to go). But that doesn't mean we're going to stop encouraging donations! Two more runs to go: at Rathlin in August; and the final season meet at the Great North Run in Newcastle in September.
So please, plenty still to sponsor and encourage if you haven't yet contributed to a great cause in memory of Adrian and Charan's Gordon.
